On February 21, 2014, the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission (“USCC”) hosted a hearing to discuss several key issues implicated in U.S. trade and economic relations with China. Eileen Bradner of Nucor Corporation and Elizabeth Drake of Stewart and Stewart joined a panel of other industry and academic experts in presenting testimony on the competitive challenges posed by non-market economics and state-owned enterprises, as well as on the effect of U.S.-China relations on the U.S. job market. Participants also engaged in an assessment of U.S. trade law enforcement efforts with regard to China. CSUSTL applauds the USCC’s continued pursuit of these and other important U.S.-China trade issues.
